3/31/20 Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It is starting to slowly feel more and more like Spring. Make sure to take some time to get outside into the fresh air! Mrs. Wolf sent a link to help explain Google Classroom to families: Google Classroom. Our classrooms are primarily using the blog and Google classroom as our ways to stay connected at this time. This week the 2nd grade team will be contacting you regarding your child and their progress based on your response to our previous survey. If you didn’t get a chance to fill out the technology survey we will need this asap:  https://forms.gle/PTojuBJjZXR54GrdA Here is a video for “morning meeting”: https://youtu.be/ZcCRy7FnOfU Here is the video for math: https://youtu.be/cgHJNQtZwRM Quilt Activity Here is the video for literacy: https://youtu.be/3X0SVlBPlL4 Science Try out this experiment at home if you want! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2Jud7F478I&disable_polymer=true All yo

3/26/2020 Hey Everyone, I hope you have all had a great week. We really enjoyed making the videos and exploring different tools and resources for the students to try out! If you are having trouble accessing Google Classroom, please let us know and we can help you with that. You will need your child’s school email login and password. If you don’t have that, please reach out to me and I can get it for you. You can also venture over to the parent section of our library webpage and view the video on how to access Google Classroom: http://kaukaunasd.libguides.com/eq-ndlc/parents Take a look at the materials section in Google Classroom, you will find a resource from Ms. Duda to continue supporting your child’s social and emotional health. The lesson includes a story, directions to a game, discussion questions and some helpful tools for parents and students. Here is the link for conferences this Spring, please fill out if you haven’t had the chance to do so yet: https://forms.gle/UC3S

3/24/2020 Hey Everyone, I hope that this week it has been easier to adjust to your new routines and enjoy learning experiences with your child and time with family. I am here for you if you have questions about anything. We are working hard as teachers to find the best ways to help from home. We're all in this together so please let me know how else I can help. We have decided for conferences to give you options for what works best for you! Please fill out this survey if you haven’t already: https://forms.gle/UC3SrDZ5LQH7Vb3e6 Also, if you do not follow NDLC Facebook’s page there are a lot of wonderful ideas and ways to connect available there as well! The page is called NDLC Charter School. We are even doing some virtual dress up days this week. Here are the lists of high frequency words to practice reading and spelling (we can also email you the PDF if you would like an easier way to print them): Just a reminder I am updating our Google Classroom if you want to check

3/19/2020 Hey Everyone, Here’s a reminder that we will be in contact on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We do not want to flood your emails with too much information. But of course we are available any day for questions you may have. Below you will find some science and social studies activities that you could watch at home. We also included a link to a math program that is also available as an app. It is a GREAT math program that differentiates its teaching to match what each student is working on. We highly recommend it. It has a 90 day free trial that you need to sign up for before April 30th. Thank you to a parent for telling us about it! Below that we put an example of a schedule you could follow at home. We know that all schedules will look different and you need to find one that works best for your family at this time. We thought sharing one might be helpful :). Again let us know if there is anything we can do to help during this time!! Math Dreambox Link:
