3/19/2020 Hey Everyone, Here’s a reminder that we will be in contact on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We do not want to flood your emails with too much information. But of course we are available any day for questions you may have. Below you will find some science and social studies activities that you could watch at home. We also included a link to a math program that is also available as an app. It is a GREAT math program that differentiates its teaching to match what each student is working on. We highly recommend it. It has a 90 day free trial that you need to sign up for before April 30th. Thank you to a parent for telling us about it! Below that we put an example of a schedule you could follow at home. We know that all schedules will look different and you need to find one that works best for your family at this time. Hey Everyone, We miss everyone so much! Thank you for your patience during this time. We will be writing to check in on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our contact will mostly be through email and the blog. Hello, Be on the lookout for an invitation to our poetry celebration which will be on Monday 3/16/20 from 8:30-9:00. We will be setting our room up like a poetry cafe and enjoying some hot chocolate if you would like to join us. Also we are starting to collect the base-runners for the Timber Rattler reading program. When students finish a character they can bring it in for prizes. Happy March! I have made the decision to start the process of becoming a nationally board certified teacher! Coming home today is a student release form that is printed on gold paper. I know you signed one at the start of the school year but I need this specific copy for the program. It is to allow me to use work samples and possibly some photos to submit with each component. Hello, Next week we will be celebrating Read Across America week! See below for the dress up days. We will also be starting a friendly competition at our school for March Madness. That is where each class selects a book and books go against each other until only one remains! This year we chose The Cool Bean by Jory John and Pete Oswald!
